Stripe or Cloudflare changes terms. Mitigation: Stripe Connect is industry standard with no real alternative risk. Cloudflare is edge-agnostic — can migrate to Vercel or AWS Workers if needed with minimal code changes.
Big players add a free tier
If Shopify launches a "test one product" free mode, differentiation narrows. Mitigation: They're architected for full stores. Serving validation-stage sellers requires a fundamentally different UX and pricing philosophy — not just a toggle.
